I am moving my IXOS SAP archive (data & document, files) to Cloud. But noticed severe http communication ( 2 Million in a month) between Cloud location to SAP server (on premise). This makes heavy bandwidth usage and blocks the communication channel. Our analysis is shown below:
Data archiving is done in packages. To retrieve 1 document, the complete packages is retrieved. And this will not be 1 HTTP call, but split in small packages and therefore thousand HTTP calls. In ST03N we can see cumulated calls to (IXOS. So there are both calls to retrieve data and PDFs. Not possible to see what is content and therefore exact cause of problem.
Is there any way to reduce the number of HTTP calls?
