S4HANA 1709 - Manage Flexible Hierarchy

Hi,

I want to understand that what is the purpose of using Manage Flexible Hierarchy functionality. As I read over SAP Help content, etc.:

But I am looking for the purpose, means how it could be best used for the reporting purpose with the arrangement of huge number of CCs or PCs etc.

Hi Minakshi,

I am also looking for the same answer and what I so far have found that the flexible hierachies replace the Cost Element groups becuase in S4H FIN the transactions for the creation and maintenance of cost elements become obsolete, replaced by a single transaction for account maintenance (FS00).

I actually want to know the replacement of cost element groups to use in FIROI reports as in FIROI we have "Account Groups" and the "GL Account Hierarchy" and these are Set Report Relevancy and Runtime Report Hierarchy. Do you also have the same requirement?
