hi all,
i just want to clarify when does a production order reserve a batch for a material? upon creation or upon batch determination of the component? how does the availability check, check this?
further more in MMBE, it says a batch doesnt have any reservations but in MB24, it says that batch has reservations already. what is more accurate?
Hi Raf,
When you are executing the Batch determination for the components system will propose Batches based on the quantity available. With sort rule and selection condition assign to batch serach strategy system will select the batches.
You mean to say that suppose a particular batch qty is 20 nos & the production oredr reqmt is 25 nos, the system should limit for reservation to 20 nos only.
As such at the time of reservation it will not look for batches
Check in scope (OPJJ) of activate check box for "Include Reservations". You need to look for the checking group and checking rule combination.
Are you using availability check 'CH' for this material ?
Hope clear to you.

HI
When you do the batch determination for the order components sytem will make reservation against available batch stock.
if you want you can chek from MB25.
give your component and check for wich order agsinst the reservation is assigned.

Hy Raf,
I think What you are looking for is Reservation of Batches ones it assgin to the process / Production orders.Yes system will looks the reservation of batches during Batch Determination.
For Example
Batch No X of Component Y is assgin during Batch Determination for Process order No. 1 (Available qty and Req.qty are same). Now for the second order System will ignore that Batch X during Batch Detrmination for Comp. Y.
Now You can Check no. of reservation at Batch Lavel in MMBE also, but for this you have to follow below Path,
MMBE ---> Stock Overview : Basic list screen ---> Environment ---> Reservation.

Check in CORW,:Production scheduling profile for Batch handling. Here we can activate
1) Auto batch creation at order creation,
2) Auto batch creation at order release,
3)No auto batch creation in production /process
In this which ever u want u can select
