Overflow Text on Button

Hi, hopefully this will be a simple problem. I currently have a circular button with some text inside. This text is bound to some back end data, so may be of varying sizes. If the text does not fit inside the button it is partially shown with an ellipsis. What I want the user to be able to do is simply scroll on the text to reveal what was cut off. I have searched around and found the CSS command 'overflow: auto', which should have the desired effect. However, what I am finding is that the text can now be scrolled, but it is not scrolling enough. It is simply moving across and keeping the ellipsis instead of revealing the rest of the text. I have attached the CSS and an image of the button to hopefully better explain what it happening. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Found that changing the text-overview parameter from 'ellipsis' to 'clip' allowed the text to be scrolled to reveal the overflow as intended.
