BPC DataManager SendMail Task

We've been succesfully using the SendMail task up until a recent upgard to 5.1 sp3. Now when we use the SendMail task with custom BPC packages, we get the following error, even when we use all default settings so it is not a result of a value being provided by us but an internal string within the task itself any suggestions, we'd really like to continue using this task to provide email notification upon package completion with the status message embedded...

"Length of the data to decrypt is invalid"

I have moved this thread to the BPC MS forum. Notice the sticky [note|; at the top of the FPM - General (PCM, FC, Other) Forum whereby we announced new dedicated forums for BPC which are the proper place to post your questions regarding BPC in the future.

Thought I'd share some recent developments. I've been able to circumvent the BPC SendMail task and use the SSIS SendMail task to send notification of package completion to the user that submitted the package. I utilize the values in the BPC tables for the email server and address information. Unfortunately, I'm unable to actually include the text of the logfile in the body of the email apparently due to the way the logfile is being updated. However, I am able to provide package specific information in the message body and attach the logfile and a reject file should there be one.

Hopefully in a post-5.1 sp3 release this will be fixed as this workaround is not to most convenient. I have advised several of our clients that have experienced this issue to enter tickets.
