Hello there,

Even though the equipment has been flagged for deletion (DLFL) but the active work order for the equipment can still be updated.
I believe this is standard SAP behavior. But I want to know why is like this?
Can't the system block the equipment deletion (DLFL) when there is an active work order still available for that equipment?

Hi,

Yes, you are rite, its a standard behaviour. I guess, since it is a Master data, SAP didn't think about restricting it. You need to put a small code to check if the orders are open, so i can not set this flag.

You will get a message when you try to create a new order, if the Equipment is set DLFL. The issue will be only with existing orders.

You could always set a user-status on the equipment master to stop it being used on newly created orders/notifications.
