Hi all,
I had a requirement where i need to configure the oracle as an LDAP to my UME.
Could anyone explain me how to do this?
Please help me in this regard.
In short whenever i create a user in oracle it should be replicated and he should be able to access the portal.
Mean to say he should be able to login with userid & password i have given in oracle.
Thanks & Regards,
Durga
Hi Durga:
Are you trying to configure Oracle Identity Management / Oracle Directory as the UME for Portal or simply Oracle DB?
Thanks,
GLM

Hi,
Setup Portal and LDAP very easy.
Go to System Administration > System Configuration > UME Configuration. Chose Data Sources and inside chose type data source (for Portal flat hierachy recomended).Chose LDAP Server and setup there Server name and server port (usually it's domain contriller), create system user in LDAP ( In my case it's Active Directory) and write user name and password. After that you should write User Path and Group Path (In Active Directory it's distinguishedName, you can see it use program ADSI Edit or ask your Windows System Administrators if you have Windows platform),click on check box Use Unique Attribute for UME Unique ID and enter samaccount name. Save changes and restart Portal.
