is there any Function module which can take Org Unit id as input and return the Org unit description ?

use the FM 'COM_OM_ORGOBJECT_TEXTS_GET' to get the description of the org.
OBJECT = Object Id
OTYPE = S for position
OBJID = Object Id
Date = leave blank.
