HI this is due to the period opening closing isuue,

as when ever the new month day 1 comes that is every month 1st COMES, when you do material movements, system will not allow to post the stocks in the todays date.

to clear this IN t-code MMPV. you need to close the past period that is 4th month period then you can post without any errors.

1.If the company follows Fiscal year (April to march), then you need to follow in that months only.

so now you go to MMPV t-code and enter the company code, and the period (i.e month 4th)

and clcik on close period check box and execute.

or enter the company code and entere todays date then clcik on cose period check box and execute,

    then you chek your movents.

or to over come theis and you don't want toclose period.

change the date to 4th month and do the movements

    Hi,

Please first your open period through t code MMRV then you check it is from jan to dec or apr to march.

Then goto tcode MMPV and put the next period you see in MMRV.

Suppose in MMRV open period is 05/2008 then you have to put 06/2008 in MMPV.

It will open the next period.

But you remember that before closing the open period all your posting of that period done.

    Regards,
