New to CRM

Hi all,

i'm new to CRM.

i would like to know some information about CRM.

1. in SAP environment, can CRM be used within the company it self. i mean between IT department and business department within the same company (for support sevices).

2. remedy system, Solution Manager and CRM, can one of them replace the other. or can CRM and SolMan be integrated and replace remedy system within the same company?

    Hi Farhan,

    Please find the following info. to the best of my knowledge:

    1. in SAP environment, can CRM be used within the company it self. i mean between IT department and business department within the same company (for support sevices).

    Ans: Yes, you can use CRM application for help desk via email or call center between diff. departments.

    2. remedy system, Solution Manager and CRM, can one of them replace the other. or can CRM and SolMan be integrated and replace remedy system within the same company?

    Ans: Remedy Systems is an post implementation issue posting & tracking system. Where as Solman (Solution Manager) is used to integrate with CRM for business process tracking (functional & technical) and project status updates. I am not in what way you want to replace Remedy with Solman...

    Answer : "Yes" CRM business process help-desk can be used as internal department support services via call center or ERMS

    2. remedy system, Solution Manager and CRM, can one of them replace the other. or can CRM and SolMan be integrated and replace remedy system within the same company?

    Answer : My understanding is that "Remedy" is bug fixing system, where as Solman and CRM integration will help to track the project business process status updates...
