what controls the icon size on the toolbars in Crystal 2008?

Is there any way to change the size of the icons on the toolbars in Crystal 2008 other than changing the screen resolution? I would like the icons to be larger without changing everything else that I work with.

Hi Gail,

If you use CRXI R1 or R2 you can have larger font size by these steps:

1.Go to View

2.Click on Toolbars

3.Click on the Check box "Large Buttons"

If you are using CR2008 then for larger fonts there is a registry change.

1.Go to regedit

2. HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Business Objects->Suite 12.0->Crystal Reports->Toolbars11->Default->BCGToolbarParameters

On the right hand of the screen find LargeIcons, right click on it.Click on Modify, enter value as 1 instead of 0.

Restart the machine for the changes to take palce.

Hope this helps.

Shraddha.

I figured out that the setting for this is being read from

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\Crystal Reports\MainFrame

You need to change LargeButtons to Yes if it says No.

I tested this with CR 2011

Shraddha,

I am sure that you are on the right track, but there must be something else as well.

I followed your instructions, but Crystal 2008 still has small icons on the toolbar. When I looked in Regedit again, the value had been set back to 0.

I tried again - just changing the value, reboot, look at regedit, and the value stayed set to 1.

Evidently Crystal 2008 itself has something that is defaulting to small icons, and updating the registry in the process.

I redid the whole sequence several times just to be sure.

Hi

When we click on View->Toolbars, we do not get any option like Customize, so there is no direct way to change the size or apply any customization on the toolbars in Crystal Reports 2008.
