Visual Composer Logon Backend Issue

Hi Friends,

I have one question regarding Portal (my guys are working hard in this issue).

Could I fix an User (only one) to log to a backend? Today the Portal Logon goes directly to the backend in a SSO behaviour. I would like to logon in the Portal with one user and access backend with generic user. Is it possible?

Hi,

could you explain lillte bit clear.

ecause untill unless u did not do the usermapping to the login credentials of the backend you are not able to access the system right?

the End users which are mapped to the backend using usermapping they can access the it other wise not

Hi Govindu,

My scenario is:

1. Portal user access one of my VC applications;

2. My VC application access ECC as backend;

The problem is: let's say you Govindu logs into Portal and access my VC application. However Govindu has no ECC profile. In this case you would not be able to see data from backend and an error message would be shown. However if I could access ECC using an unique user you could see data. In Visual Composer level I would set my application to filter data from backend only those that Govindu could see. No problem to do that.

Problem: Access backend with a fixed user not that user from Portal Logon.

Kind Regards and thanks once more!

Hi,

ok you want to access the ECC with user even he don't have ECC Profile right?

thats why map the user to portal logon user to the user who have the ECC Profile .

this can be done by user mapping in the Portal after creating the alias for it.

Is i got your problem right way?

Hi Gilson,

Your problem can be solved by Doing the Usermapping for a Group.

1.Keep all the VC Users in One Group

2.Then Do the user Mapping to ECC for the Group with the User User who had ECC Access.

Hope this will definitely solve ur problem.

Hi Guys,

Yes! You got it. It is more Portal issue than Visual Composer. I will pass your answers and come back to both of you.
