Scenarios

1 WBS without activities

1.1 Actual start date : should be maunally entered if the WBS, if the status is atleast "Partially Released"

1.2 Actual finish date : should be maunally entered.

2 WBS with activities

2.1 Actual start date: will be automatically populated for the activity confirmations or by the function, Edit > Reconcile dates > Determine actual dates.

2.2 Actual finish date : should be manually determined in project planning board by the function Edit > Reconcile dates > Determine actual dates.

Murali,

in responce to 2.1 & 2.2 u say that "_Actual start date: will be automatically populated for the activity confirmations_". Why it not happening in my system thou I fully confirm all the activites under a WBS. I assume it is standard behaviour in SAP.

Thanks,

check the WBS & network scheduling parameters defined for the project profile with which u have created the project. wether automatic dates scheduling is set or not. if not u have to do it manually.
