SRM Browser Launchpad problem

hi

1) iam newly installed my pc with SRM 5.0 &ECC6.0. but when i login to browser there is no items in left hand side.

for this reason i could not able to create shopping cart.so please help me on this issue.is there any settings that i need to do,pls suggest me.

2) is SRM 5.0 &ECC6.0 these two are compatible each other.

3) can anyone send me the ECC6.0(MM)&SRM5.0 customization guide.please help on this.
