DB startup error with errorcode 12

Hi,

I am trying to start my system using startsap looks like SAPOSCOL started and Database listener started and the database is not coming out it gives a error saying DB Startup error with errorcode 12, can anyone can help, this is not a new system.

Try to mount the database in nomount and mount .If successfull

then

1 . startup normal to see DB is comming up or not.(check alertsid.ora file.

2. lsnrctl start

3. start SAP

else sort out the problem one by one .

Hello. Check the startdb.log , also check alert_SID.log

(Oracle alert log).

I checked both the logs it says DB startup failed. can anyone suggest how to overcome this situation.

post the logs(alert log file,startsap log, startdb log), it would be help to analyse.

can you plase check error in alertSID.log /oracle/SID/saptrace/background
