Duplicate GUID for contact people

Hi,

Due to a number of issues over the last few years we have a situation where we have duplicate GUID for contacts. i.e 2 contacts with different numbers but with the same GUID.

As you can imagine this results in a number of bdoc issues.

Is anyone aware of a utility that would correct this duplication?

I need to bring the CRM tables CRM_BUT_CONTNO, BUT000 and BUT050 with R3.

Any advise how to correct this issue or any problems I might face would be greatly appreciated.

I got the same issue, follow SAP notes:

- 782997: The GUID_CREATE function module sometimes generates duplicates

- 1149739: obsoleted FM GUID_CREATE should be replaced by  cl_system_uuid=>if_system_uuid_static~create_uuid_c32 ...
