I have never heard that term used before roles, it could be a term for a parent/master role. What context is the term used?

Hi Omar,

Are you talking about SAP standard roles that can be used as templates?

If these roles are what you are referring to as the Reference roles then you can always make use of the SAP delivered roles as the templates/reference roles.

When you go into PFCG and choose the SAP delivered template roles for example, FI AP Clerk role and then you can use this as a template role and make necessary changes to the authorization data according to the company requirements.

Omar

I read the prev. posts and was trying to understand what you might be looking for.

Are you by any chance referring to "Reference Users" and not really "roles"?

If so, basically it is just a user type that you'd maintain in SU01 and then the roles which have been assigned to that user would be inherited by other users for which you set up that reference user. That way you can avoid having to remember a fixed set of roles which every user (e.g. in a team or group) should get by default.

Hope this helps.
