regarding cube design

Hi experts

here i have some requirements like .

in r/3 i will book the order that was un billed and i will load the data in to bw .and next day i will billed that order and again i will load the data in to bw .but in bw wat is happening is it is maintaing 2 records here i am loading data through ods to cube but i am getting 2 records in bw .but in order suppose 4 line items and 2 sales office i am splitting the record in sales office wise .so 4 insertions and 2 sales office total 8 entries will come in bw .that is before billing and after billing if i load the data again same 8 entries will load in bw .

in bw total 16 entries will come for same order.

so please give some idea how to handle this issue.

if i load entire data how the performance will bw .

please help me in this .

Hi,

We use ODS specifically for the same requirements as you stated in your question. The records should be overwritten in the ODS itself.

Please check if there is only record present for the same order in ODS. Then load it to Cube. The key combination of the ODS should be such that the common fields between unbilled and billed order should be there.

Hi,

Try removing the characteristic which indicate that the record is billed/not from the keypart in the DSO.

Only choose chars which are common to the billed record and the posted record as part of the key part,

I suppose, in this case you will get only one record for the above scenario.
