Just upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2 SP2 (Patch 3) and now we are getting different functionality in WEBI Prompts vs the previous version. No matter what we set at the infoobject Display setting (Key, Text, Key and Text, Text and Key, No Display), the WEBI prompt (based on a BEx variable or created in WEBI) always defaults to the Text display. In the previous version, the Key setting would allow it to show the key. I know there is a button for the key display toggle in the prompt, but this is not an option - I have very long texts and the key would show at the end. I noticed this is the same thing for the dimension object value, but that was even broken in our previous version (i.e. the dimension value always uses texts if they exist - to use key, need to use the key sub object - this can be troublesome if existing reports are out there and then and infoobject is added a text setting!)
We are going to upgrade to SP3 and see whats going on there. Can anyone reproduce?
There should really be a control for WEBI settings, not only ath
Thanks,
Tom

There was an ADAPT ADAPT01614274 raised for this behavior. Have a look at the below SAP note. It was fixed in BO 4.0 Sp4. Looks like a regression. Try upgrading to BO 4.2 Sp3, see if it helps. My suggestion would be open a SAP ticket if it doesn't and get it clarified.
