for 1 material document - many inspection lots?

Dear All,

Is it possible to have more than 1 inspection lot for 1 material document posting from MFBF.

Ex suppose from MFBF if confirm 10 qty is there any possibility to have 10 inspection lots for the same material doc.

I am interested in knowing the business case behind this. Also, are you using RF transactions to scan off palltets / units as they come out of the line ?

I'm interesting in generating the inspection lots based on the qty which i backflush from MFBF.

i.e for one qty - 1 insp lot. but i will backflush 10 qty collectively not individually.

My client is the one of the Largest Automotive sector. I'm not using any RF transactions to scan off palltets / units as they come out of the line.

but would like to know if u have mapped the same.I will appreciate if u share.

Hi Anil,

I dont know how far it will help you but One Idea flashed in my intellect. It will work like this,

For these thing you need to do GR for equal number of lot you need.

I mean at the time of phase confirmation when you confirm quantity you will have to do it for one by one for 1 quantity.

At the other hand activate the inspection type 04 in the materail master.

NOTE: Here in the "Detailed information on inspection type" section you must select the option "For each material document, material, batch, and storage location" in the field "Control Insp lot" field.

That will you an equal number of 04 lot, that mach time you do the confirmation of yield in FG store via phase confirmation.

It was just a sprinkle came in to my mind, shared with you.

Thanks for the reply.

I have already activated the MM with the relevant inspection type.but client doesn't want to backflush the qty for every time. practically for 1 vehicle there are around 600 subassemblies in the BOM. in such case system takes more time. in such a case it is not feasible to confirm the qty one by one each time.

by the way i have raised the OSS for the same and lets see what SAP suggest.

Hi Anil,

This is possible if you have 10 Line items in material document.

You can do this by going into Mater Master -> QM view -> Insp. Setup.

Select desired Inspection Type. Change Control insLot to -> For each material document item.

There is no way if you have 1 Line item in material document with 10 quantity.

i think there is no option,

but you can get when you do partial GRNs.

one lot for one material document -item
