Hi ,

will anybody give me some inputs on....

I have one basic doubt in IDOC reg. Message Type and IDOC Type.

As ORDERS is the message type and it is having ORDERS01 to 05 as IDOC types.

So what is the difference between ORDERS01 , 02 and 03 ....???

Why there are different IDOC types for same business functionality..???

Depedending on wht logic we are going to select these IDOC types...??

HI,

Orders05 is the latest version.....Orders01 is the older version...as we are having different SAP Versions, similarly these basictypes also changed......some new fields and segments were added....

Now the latest one is ORDERS05.....

Read the documentation:

"The IDoc type is the version number. The highest number always represents the latest version. In the list above, ORDERS04 is the most up-to-date IDoc type for sales orders."
