Hi,

EU

Text

External Unit of Measurement in Commercial Format (3-Char.)

Definition

Commercial measurement unit format.

Use

The internal measurement units are automatically converted to this format for screen output.

Dependencies

This format dependends on the logon language.

BUN

Base Unit of Measure

Unit of measure in which stocks of the material are managed. The system converts all the quantities you enter in other units of measure (alternative units of measure) to the base unit of measure.

Procedure

You define the base unit of measure and also alternative units of measure and their conversion factors in the material master record.

Thanks & Regards

One is the unit of entry, the other the base unit (stock keeping unit).

you can have a material which has a base unit of KG and an alterantive unit DRM (200 kg = 1 drum)

Then it is possible to enter a movement (or inventory count) in alternative unit.

In MB51 you can then see both quantities according to the unit used.
