Hello,
We have to map a business scenario in SAP ERP MM, where our plant is purchasing a garage door kit from a vendor. These are standard kits (which there are roughly 30 of) that the vendor enforces we buy as a whole package. The purchase order must display the kit number and the price/cost has to be displayed as a whole at the kit level as well. When this kit is recieved in our warehouse it is physically taken apart and the individual components are inventoried (springs, garage door sections, inserts, track, etc.). We do this because when we sell and install these garage doors we interchange the various components (springs, sections, track, etc.) based on the customer requirements.
So the requirement is that we create a purchase order at the kit level, with the price specified at the kit and upon receiving we actually need that kit to explode into the various components with the price/cost distributing into these components based on some rule that we maintain (for example based on pre-defined percentage of total value for each component). All of these components need to be costed using moving average.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Anton Karnaukhov
