SAP APO PP/DS: quote heuristic does not consider the planned orders created for a tied product

Hi,

I have following situation: a tied product (with minus qty) is defined in the BOM of a fin product. when we run MRP for the header product also planned orders are created for the tied product. When we run a quota heuristic (with sap_pp_002 defined in quota item) for the tied product we see that the planned orders are not considered and the system creates too many schedule lines (in the quota we only have 2 scheduling agreements = external proc. relationship) = at the end the available quantity is too high, we see that it is always too high be the sume of all the planned orders quantity. When we delete these planned orders and run the quota heuristic for the tied product the results is ok. at the end the available quantity is 0 = correct.

I checked in the product view the planned orders and see te only difference is that the planned orders for the tied product created via the heuristic for the header material have normal atp category:

the only difference that I see is the item number of the planed order: 0002 created by the heuristic for the header material and 0000 created manually. otherwise I see no difference. Question: what might be the reason that the quota heuristic does not consider the planned orders created by the heuristic (sap_pp_002) for the header product = it does not consider the available quantities from that planned orders...

The issue relates to the fact that the header product and the tied product are pegged with each other and as long as the planned orders are not firmed the guota heuristic does not consider them. When I firm the planned orders and run the quota heuristic for the tied product the result is correct => quota heuristic creates schedule lines with the right split without creating an overstock.

Now I need to figure out what I can do so the quota heuristic (with sap_pp_002 in quota position) will consider the unfirmed planned orders....

any ideas?
