My customer already has batch management & shelf life functionality in place on their ECC5 system.
They now wish to introduce batch determination strategy using SLED (shelf life expiration date).
Once the classification and config are been complete, new receipts will automatically classify batches, but how are existing batches classified ?
e.g. does each batch have to be updated using MSC2N
and the classification tab to be setup
Regards.
Phil.
Hi,
To incorporate SLED proceed as per below method;
Create Characteristic in CT04 for SLED, under "Addnl data", enter Table Name MCH1 or MCHA (As per Batch Class 022 or 023) and Field VFDAT and save it.
Assign this characteristics in CL02 in your Batch Class.
CU70 - Create a Sort Rule and specify the Characteristic of SLED and activate "Ascending" or "Descending" as per your requirement.
Now maintain this Sort Rule in condition record maintenance (MBC1) for Strategy Type. Here keep Selection criteria as "O"
In Batch Determination, batches will get sorted as per the Sort Rule. (means FEFO)
Note: - Every Batch needs to be updated manually either in MSC2N of you can use MSC5N (Mass Maintenance)
