Sales Order BOM

Hi All,

What is Sales Order BOM?

How it will get customized in PP, SD & MM ?

What is the driving force to create a sales order BOM?

Actually my doubt is:

I am having a Finished Material ABCD001. let as assume it has a Material BOM & Sales Order BOM.

How come I will come to know where I need to use Material BOM and Where to use Sales Order BOM.

Could you guys please explain me how to and what to configure in SAP from PP,SD & MM to get a Sales Order BOM product.

Hi madhan

Sales order BOM is purely for SD guys.

Once the production order is completed and GR done for FG. Basic MBOM is over.

From FG. They can sell with primary packing / Secondary packing also they can kit some items and sell them as one single item.

For these prupose only sales order BOM is created. Content will be FG partnumbers packing materials , Catelogus and others.

Dear,

Sales order BOM is BOm is created for a sales order. Hence sale order and item will be one of input.

This is required when you are exploding the BOM in sales ordser and BOm items are delivery relevant.
