Hello,

we are using at a custom SAP Jam with IAS in the background as an Identity Provider. I know that at the moment it is possible to provide customer specific fields from IAS to SAP Jam and display this fields on the profile. But this fields provided are only read only and SAP Jam and need to be edited in IAS.

Now the question is if in future it will be possible to provide also editable fields from IAS to SAP Jam. I know that this was possible with SuccessFactors. It was possible to define Fields (Text, Data, Dropdown, etc.) in SuccessFactors and then this fields could be edited directly in the Jam Profile by self service of the users. Is this feature planned for IAS in the future? If yes, in which release it can be expected?

Thank you and best regards,

Betim

Hi Betim,

there are different custom attributes available in IAS:

- on user level and

- on SP level.

There are APIs for both of them:

- User attributes: SCIM User profile API

- SP-specific attributes: SP UM API

For the SP-specific attributes, they can also be set using the CSV upload functionality. These can also be included in the SAML assertion to be transmitted to the application.

It is not planned short or mid term to be able to administer the custom attributes by the user itself.
