Dear all,

I have configured the setting for batch-management. While doing Good Issue in MIGO I encountered the following message.

I am unable to interpret what the message meant. Please advise.

Invalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determination

Message no. LB051

Diagnosis

This batch is not allowed according to the selection criteria assigned to it. The specifications for the batch entered do not match the selection criteria from batch determination.

System Response

The valid strategy record was determined accoring to the search procedure.

Depending on the system setting, the system issues either a warning or an error message.

If the message is a warning (W), the system will accept your entry, but simultaneously issues a warning to prevent you from making the wrong entry.

If the message is an error message (E), the system will not accept your entry.

Procedure

Check the selection criteria for the transaction.

Hi,

Check in MBC2, for Strategy Type

Have you assigned any Class here, if yes then Batch Class of your material and this class will be different. Better do not enter any class here in MBC2, keep it blank.

If class is not there then no issue. But, In Selection Type column, keep it as "O" - selection with no selection criteria

Then check in Goods Issue.

Thank for the information. I have managed to solve the above with your help.

By the way, could you adivse me on the following:

The expiry date of the batch under the material is smaller than the Min. rem. shelf life + today date, however SAP did not provide any warning or error message when I perform good issue.

Hi,

Refer SAPNote 33396 - Batch determ.: Selection w. remaining life LOBM_RLZ, for this.

But, prerequisite is you have to use all SAP Standard characteristics to achieve this i.e. Starting from LOBM*

If you have already used Z* characteristics then you have to go for routine development and assign it in Qty. Proposal column of MBC2.
