Hello
Why do we use the enhancement LEINS001 for 2LIS_02_ITM and why not the usual RSAP0001. Can we not use RSAP0001 for Purchasing extraction?

Hi,
When you write the code for enhancement in the exit RSAP0001, the enhanced fields are not delta enabled which means that if for a particular record the only field that changes are the enhanced fields, then that record is not identified as a changed record and it is not written to the delta queue. However, if you enhance the corresponding communication structure for 2LIS_02_ITM and then write the code in the exit LEINS001 for 2LIS_02_ITM, then even the enhanced fields are delta enabled.
Hope it helps.

Thanks Rishi!
As you explained, if we use RSAP0001 we will have to do a lot of coding ( using change log tables CDHDR and CDPOS) to implement the delta logic for our newly added fields. Hence we rather go for LEINS001.
Now my other problem is..
I want to add a number of fields ( to MCEKPOUSR ) and use the LEINS001 enhacement.
At the same time I want to use the CDHDR table to capture changed release dates ( UDATE field). Is it possible to use CDHDR table in LEINS001. Will that capture delta for UDATE field?
Thank you so much !
