webi - filter bics query by measure

Hi all,

I am building WEBI reports ontop of BICS queries. Our BO version is 4.2SP4

When I use measure in the filter the query which run on the backend (HANA) doesn’t push down the filter by the measure, instead it fetch all the data and restrict it on the webi.

Is there a way to push down measure filter on the DB level?

Hi Amit,

Yes, I'm able to drag the measure. Your second option will behave the same as it is now - bring all the data.

I guess i'll have to create a BEX variable.

Might be it's happening because filter on measure object always create the having clause.it mean first get all records and then filter out the records.you can try with apply restriction at Bex level

are you able to drag the measure object in the webi query->filter panel. i know with BICS/BW query it is a limitation that you can not use filter on measure object.

You have other option is to use measure object filter at webi level but in that case you have bring all that and then filter out.
