In SAP MDM, SAP has provided a nice business content for the repositories such as on Customer Master, Material MAster, Article Master, Vendor Master etc. These buiness content are pre-deliverd by SAP.

The foll as such do not fall into customization, but can be called as modeling or configurations.

1) Howevr, if these do not fit in your requirement, then you can customize your own repositories by either modifying the business content or by creating your own repositories.

2) Also with each table and field you create, these are certain standard table and field properties which come on creation.

You can customize them as well on your requirement.

3) Also, there are standard configuration options set for all the four components in MDM, however, you can customize them as well for your case.

As Far as customization is concerned there is no such specific customization is being provided by SAP MDM.

But if you consider some configuration settings you can set some functionalities according to your requirment(VIZ. Particular Role for Particular user).

and if you go with standard Master data Object (Customer, Vendor etc.) for these the standard BC are being provided by SAP. and you can modify these according to your business requirment and can make the changes in your repositories

you are working with.

In what respect are you asking about customizations,I mean pertaining to which technolgy.

As there is no customization in MDM.If you are looking for ABAP customizations then it would be helpful if you post your question in that forum.
