Hi,

The link above takes me to Partner Enablement Center. There in Advanced Search box, I have searched for "FINANCIALS - Accounting and Core Finance" as well as "Control Accounts" but I am unable to locate the recorded Webex session you are referring to.

Regards.

Hi,

Unlike Other System SAP System is using inside into ERP Control Accounts. Generally Control Accounts Used to MAP Business Partner into Chart of Accounts.

Control Accounts Enables the following functionalities.

1. We can create Control Account in COA as well as Business Partner in Separate Master.

2. However This Control account is linked with All Creditor/ Debtors in BP Master.

3. No Need to Create Creditors/Debtors in Ledger Level.

4. But while running the trial Balance  You can view the Business Parter.

Hi Tien

A control account in SAP Business One must at the very least be set for Debtors (Accounts Receivable) and Creditors (Accounts Payable). You can however set any other accounts to control accounts, but this will prevent these accounts from being posted to via a manual journal entry. Examples of such accounts would be Trading Stock, Cost of Sales, Sales, etc. These are accounts that are only updated from the "sub ledgers" such as sales, purchasing, stock or production. The benefit is that these accounts will always balance to reports from the sub ledger. The down side that you cannot make adjustments to them. So before making an account a control account, careful thought must be given to the impact on users.

Hope this helps

Kind regards
