Capture Vehicle Number in Shipment

Can anybody tell me how will I be able to capture the Transporter's Name, Vehicle number & mode of transport in Shipment?

Dear Indra,

At the time of Prepare Delivery Go to -> Header -> Texts and mention details as per given Txt ty.

You can also mention other detials in Txt ty which is not relevent for you.

Hi,

In 0VTC, against the route u can assign your transporter name, which should have been previously created as a vendor. This is for bringing the transporter's name.

Use the Shipping type to create the mode of transport, this is different from the mode of transport that is already there in the SPRO path. If you are creating a mode of transport and assigned in the 0VTC you cannot change it often. But if u are creating itas shipping type, the user can select it while creating the shipping document in VT01N. This field is just before the Shipment Route in the Shipment Screen.

And coming to the last of it all, Vehicle Number can be mentioned in the container number field which is again in the shipment 'processing' itself.

In Shipment, these fields are to be captured in text fields. I suppose Transporter's Name is a field available in shipment, and other text field which are free can be used for vehicle number. I am not sure, but mode of transport also should be available as standard field.

In VOTXN, you can do it either for Delivery Header or for shipment, based on your type of shipment.the process is the normal output detrmination procedure.

Hi,

I suggest to have a text determination from delivery to shipment.

text mode of transport will be automatically picked from the route which is determined in sales order or delivery.

transporter name : manually this text should be maintained

vehicle number: manually this tect should be maintained

why iam suggesting to go for the text detemination .

transporter name and vehicle number always changes so it is better to have a manual setting in the delivery.

we can get a message to the user when he is creating a sales order. by maintaining a message type and assigning to the delivery screen. so with this when any user creates a delivery a message will pop up and ask the user to maintain the transaporter name and vehicle number.
