doubt about certification

hi,

I am working on abap for past 14 months...

can i take on abap certification without attending sap-teched?

can anyone clarify on that..

Hi Storm,

If you want to take certification , you need to fulfil some requirements.

*Eligibility *

· Must have served current employer for at least 12 months prior to the exam date.

· For associate level certification exams, a minimum one to three years of SAP implementation experience with a minimum of six months experience in the module and version in which the candidates appears for certification.

· For professional level certification exams, a minimum of three to seven years of SAP implementation experience with minimum of 12 months in the module and six months in the version in which the candidates appears for certification.

· Your present employer should be a customer or partner of SAP.

Participant is responsible to submit proof of the above.

Individuals

· Participants must complete the relevant academy courses with SAP Education or SAP Education partners to qualify to take the certification exams.

Participant is responsible to submit proof of the above.

· Candidates can appear for re-certification with a copy of score sheet, provided the exam is in the offering.

Just as a quick point of clarification, the eligibility requirements posted in this thread are associated with taking certification at TechEd.

Many Tests can be taken at a testing center. you would have to look at SAP's website for dates adn availablity.

As for are you ready to take a test with only 14 months experience and no classes, that is up to you. I would say no but that is a personal experience.
