question bout absence-workflow in ESS

Former Member

hi,

we use the ess workflow for approving/rejecting absences for employees.

so far so good.

the following problem occurs: when the boss of the employee REJECTS an absence the employee

got a mail informing him that the abs. is rejected.

the problem is: this email goes out every 10 DAYS

but the employee can't do anything with the absence -> he can't delete it, because the date is to far behind.

how can i avoid that mail is sent out every 10 days ? i even don't know WHERE it is

customized that every 10 days this mail goes out.

Check if you have reminders set in Extended Notifications. SWNCONFIG -> Subscription settings -> Reminder days

Yes, but that will affect all workflows that use this schedule. Something is not right in your overall process, because the notification is for a work item in someone's inbox. Removing the reminder isn't going to make people execute the workitem so it's just going to remain there forever. Not good.

HI Martin

Its seems u unknowing set some time limt some where. check it . It may even a dead line. Check in sm37 any job is Scheduled regarding dead line. Search with user name wf-batch in sm37 and check. Some where in the workflow you would have set time line check that also.

Hi,

There is a report scheduled that sends the emails. Discuss with the time consultants, they should know the report.

You could probably stop the mail sending job (or configure it in that way that it doesn't send you those rejection mails), and then add a mail sending step to the workflow. Then it will send the mail immediately after that rejection (if you decide to do it in this way).

sorry guys,

it seems that all of you misunderstand me !

i try to explain it clearly:

the mail IS sent immidiately after rejection ! and THAT should be it !

THAN, every 10 days the mail (the SAME !!! mail) is sent out again !

this means -> mail sent first time: STOP ! END !

hi Martin

The T-code SOST would be have been Scheduled for 10 days. Change the varient of T-code SOST to every half an hour. your problem would be solved.
