Just a confirmation about updating patch: directly?

Hello,

We work in PL30 2007A. Now we would like to upgrade to PL38.

The question is: can we upgrade directly from PL30 to PL38?

Or, by the contrary, we must upgrade to PL 35 first, then to PL37 and finally to PL38? (This order is the set of upgrades donwlables from SAP Partner Edge Channel Portal).

Thank you very much! 😊

Regards,

    Hi Vanessa,

I think the better answer is "It Depends"

Im using SBO 2005 A, but i think it applies for all versions

    EG.

Lets say thas you are in SBO 2007 SP0 PL1, and now, there is avaible the SBO 2007 SP1 PL 10

but the PL that applies the SP1 was SBO 2007 SP1 PL 5, if you dont apply first the PL5 (wich have the SP1) you may have future problems. Now lets say that you have SBO 2007 SP1 PL 10 and there is SBO 2007 SP1 PL 11 and SBO 2007 SP1 PL 12 and SBO 2007 SP1 PL 13, you can upgrade from SBO SP1 PL 10 to SBO 2007 SP1 PL 13 and you will not have problems, this is because you are on the same SP (the SP1). So, you have to consider the SP you are.

    Hope this help you

    Slds.,

    Esteban
