Configuring Reciever mail adapter

Hi all

I am trying to cofigure Receiver Mail adapter and my scenario would be RFC to mail .what are the settings need to be configured for a mail adapter ? i am using 7.0 version and SP16

can anybody send me some documentation or blogs about the receiver mail adapter

Hi,

Your question was inclined to the Basics of Mail adapter. If I am not worng, there baiscs are covered in SAP XI study material.

If not we can take help from help.sap.com for such querries. Also the last and better option is to search on SDN.

There are lots of blog's regarding to you querry. As per SDN XI Forums Rues and Engagement it is advisable to search your querry on SDN first and then post it.(otherswise there can be numerous forums on the same topic).

Hi

While configuring the Mail Adapter as a receiver

Choose XIPAYLOAD as a Message Protocol.

Transport Protocol:SMTP

Add the Connection Parameters

In the URL, you need to specify the ip address of the Mail Server you are using.

Tick on Configure User authentication.

Authentication method will be plain.

Provide the username and password.

Select "Mail package" in the mail attributes.

provide the From and To values.
