I'm working to get the Client Based GW synchronization working with CRM/Outlook. I'm able to get notes for tasks and appointments. However I'm not able to get
same for contacts. Note 1044331 mentions that table GWI_PROPERTIES must reflect customizing for Appt/Task/Contacts but I'm not sure where that customizing is located.
Could someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Greg
GWI_PROPERTIES:
DEFAULT_APPT_PROC_TYPE CX01
DEFAULT_APPT_TEXTTYPE A002
DEFAULT_CONT_TEXTTYPE 0001
DEFAULT_TASK_CANCELLED E0007
DEFAULT_TASK_COMPLETED E0003
DEFAULT_TASK_INPROCESS E0002
DEFAULT_TASK_OPEN E0001
DEFAULT_TASK_PROC_TYPE 1004
DEFAULT_TASK_TEXTTYPE A002
REL_NAME_MY_ACCOUNTS CXP001
REL_NAME_MY_CONTACTS BUR011
I figured out what I needed to do. I had to define the transaction type / text in "Map Activity Text Types and Business Partners to Groupware".
Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,
I am facing similar sort of issues in GW client Integration. I have an Appointment and Task ( Z Customized) and done all the required steps including the details you described in this thread. My appointment and Task has been succussfully Synchronized but it is not appearing in Outlook. Can you assist me to overcome this?
Many Thanks,
Bob
Greg,
Thanks indeed for your reply. I have already maintained as suggested, Synchronization happens successfully but problem is it is not reflecting in Outlook Calendar or Task list. Any suggestions or please brief the steps of GW implementation, as you already successfully done this. Greatly appreciate your help.
Bob
bob,
pls check if the CRM activity categories you have assigned to your custom activity type does match the correct class.
Tasks and Appointments need to match to class TASK or APPOINTMENT to work properly. You can find that in SPRO under .... transactions...activities... .... maintain categories
let me know if this solved your issue.
cheers

Greg,
DEFAULT_APPT_PROC_TYPE and DEFAULT_TASK_PROC_TYPE are only used when you create a new record in groupware.
e.g. the new appointment coming from Outlook will be created in CRM with the activity type you can define in DEFAULT_APPT_PROC_TYPE
Does contact note work for you now?
cheers
martin
