Service Desk - Change IBase component

Hi,

I updated my Solution Manager to the latest available SPs a couple of days ago. After this I found one small problem.

In the service desk, on going to the change option I am unable to change the IBase component. I was able to do this earlier, when I was on SP11

Any idea whether there would be any config which would control this?

Please help.

regards,

Kevin Hill

    Dear Friend,

Have you check your authorization assigned to user.

are you authorize to change IBase etc. check and revert.

Most probably it will this error.

Secondly if it is transaction variant .......check IBASE field.....

IF IBASE Field is checked for display only in that case you need to uncheck it open for input.

    PLEASE REWARD POINTS.

      Hi Kevin,

just updated Sol Man to SP15. I got the same issue now.

Honestly, this is crap. I am using Sol Man for NON-SAP changes, too. Untill now we used to raise tickets from a satellite system (because we got all users here) even the changes has nothing to do with SAP (Network, Hardware,...)

After a ticket has been raised we changed the iBase component because we do not want to assign a NON-SAP issue/ticket to a maintenance cycle which is used for SAP Changes.

      This cannot be done anymore....

I am having the same request, that it should be possible to change i-Base components. The scenario is that the tickets get created in an external helpdesk and of course the wrong iBase component can be picked. If it is not possible to change the iBase you will need to close the ticket, reference back to the external system and open a new ticket from there.

The external system is operated by 1st level support and it is more than likely that a wrong iBase will be picked.

From my point of view: This decision must have been made by someone who never has seen a productive environment.
