Dear experts.

I am having a trouble in displaying read data and converted data in LSMW. The following error keeps popping up "No physical path is configured for logical name /SAPDMC/LSMW_FILE".

I have tried to create a logical path through FILE by referring to other Q&A answers, manuals, but the same error keeps coming out. What could be doing wrong? Here is what it looks like.

Any advice would be highly appreciated

See SAP note 2488351

You have now 2 options:

1. Switch off the validation enforcement switch - open transaction SM30 for Table/View FILECMCUST and click Maintain. Here change the configuration for parameter 'REJECT_EMPTY_PATH' from 'ON' to 'OFF'.

or

2. Define a Physical path for the Logical path '/SAPDMC/LSMW_FILE_LP' - open transaction FILE and in Logical File Path Definition find Logical Path '/SAPDMC/LSMW_FILE_LP'. Select it and double click 'Assignment of Physical Paths to Logical Path' and define the Physical path.

Thank you, Wenceslaus.

Yes, you are right, there are two methods, and I chose the second option. But I still keep getting the same error. Do you think it is because I am entering it incorrectly?

Instead of just <filename> can you try with some directory location like C:\LSMW\<filename>
