Is the Webdynpro component for Eclipse ever tested before published for developers to use ?

Good Day,

I Develop predominantly in Eclipse, and predominantly with Webdynpro's. I am always up to date with the latest updates and regularly scan for notes to address Eclipse & Webdynpro related issues. Having working in this environment for a good few years now, I am beginning to wonder how well the Eclipse Webdynpro Development environment is tested before it is released for us developers to use. I find it extremely buggy.. (Crashes, Hangs, does not start up, throws errors all over the place .. just to name a few)..

Does anyone else have the same experience? With every update it just seems to add more and more issues that previously worked...

Dear Jeremy,

please report the bugs that are not already solved, so the tool can get better (Component BC-DWB-AIE-WDA)!

Good Day.

I was able to log 5 issues this morning, without having to try all that hard at all to find issues.. I will log more as I come across them, However I still maintain this should be more thoroughly tested before released for developers to utilize.

Eclipse fan here, and I don't think it's that great for Web Dynpro. But not for stability reasons.

I have noticed Eclipse plugins can interfere with each other, so try a clean Eclipse Oxygen and install ADT and see if it works better. Sometimes I have two Eclipse installations, one just for ADT and another for my other plugins (e.g. BPMN, Papyrus).

As for WDA in Eclipse, unless you are on a superfast system with a superfast connection to a superfast backend, it's sluggish as heck. The generated code can make the components quite large and it slows down to the point where I sit and watch the code window catch up to my typing. Debugging is even worse.
