DTR Projects

Hello everyone--

We are using DTR only for storing PAR projects and have run into a strange problem, where it appears that a projects is under DTR control except for the fact that it does not appear in DTR.

When making changes to objects in the project, you are prompted for an activity and when activities checked in the output window in NWDS shows the activity was 'successful' imported.

However in the DTR perspective, the project does not show in the list.

Any help will be kindly appreciated.

Hi John,

Check dtr workspace in internate explorer.

http://<server ip>:<port no>/dtr

check development workspace i.e. SOMENAME_D.

check wheather your DCs are available there.

Then again check your dtr perspective for same development configuration.

if DCs are there in DTR but not showing in dtr perspective, then there is problem in your NWDS

snehal--

Although I am not doing component based development, but only PAR development what you mentioned makes since, in that it should co-exist in DTR.

We are using DTR to version our PAR projects, which have been and still is working fine. Recently, we discovered that one project, e.g. 'com.company.space' is not showing in DTR --although the DTR dialogue window shows that the objects are being 'sync' in DTR. After check DTR web-interface, I am finding that these objects are not there, which lead me to believe there is something wrong with the way the projects is being imported.

Steps for recreation:

1) Package explorer: DTR->share ('com.company.space')

modify an object for project (it appears project is under DTR control, you are prompted for an activity for the change)

2) Switch to DTR perspective: Browse tree for package ('com.company.space' ) --not there.

Hi John,

Have you check that there are not Broken DCs???... Maybe this can be an issue and must be affecting the activation. You can check this at the CBS perspective of the NWDI.

Hi,

Have you checked the server log files (maybe problems with namespace, ...). Also check NWDS error view (gives you more information about problems).

Where there any changes in infrastructure (applyint SPs, ..)?

Also check DTR workspaces online, it they aren't there (after "share project" in NWDS) looks like a problem with DTR server.

Regards,

Daniel
