Non sequential Decision Point Processing

Hi,

We're on PPM 6.1 and would like to process decision point in non sequential manner. We're aware about the non sequential phase processing, which can be enable using by setting value for area 0012 setting name 0002 in Override Default Global Setting.

e.g. Portfolio item A has decision point A1,B1,C1. Sometimes instead of closing A1 we may start decision point B1. Or chances are also there where we may not start decision point B1 at all instead go to C1 and in B1 give some details about skipping it. Meanwhile Decision point A1,B1 and C1 remains open and allow changing there statuses/details.

So are there any BADI/Switch setting are there for the same?

Regards,

Alex

Hello Alex,

The current program design allows to edit the attributes (e.g. dates) for successor decision points, and if you set global switch

0007/0011 it also allows to edit predecessor decision points (i.e. decision points with completed status). The actual processing of the decision points (i.e. the order in which they decome active) however is strictly sequential. There is no switch to change this behaviour and I am not aware of any BAdI which would allow you to do so.

Francesco

Hi Francesco,

Before posting it here I tried searching it over the help site and also checked configuration document. But couldn't find list of Global Settings switch along with their impact. Could you tell me from where can I get the complete list for our system.

Regards,

Alex

Hello Alex,

I am not aware of the existence of a comprehensive list with the impact of the switches.
