Thank you Lars for the feedback, I will read about the MDX, however, I would really appreciate it if you could share with me if SAP HANA (MDX) is able to update the existing values of the measures (in the model) and also generate new values for the dimensions (in the model)?

The MODEL clause is an ORACLE specific extension to SQL and not part of standard SQL.

SAP HANA provides multiple modelling tools, supporting a variety of use cases. For multi-dimensional queries SAP HANA natively supports MDX which also serves as the query language used by the MS Excel/SAP HANA integration.

No worries, Adi. As it’s usually not successful to look for 1:1 features in platform specific features across different platforms, how about you explain what you want to achieve. Maybe that way we can recommend a good approach to do that on SAP HANA.
