Is there any benifits for a company study other ERP products?

Hi,

If you own an consulting company and provide only SAP solutions to your clients. One day you found some clients are using other ERP products and they are not satisfied with that. So they might want to change from those ERP products to SAP.

Based on above, so is it good for an small-sized consulting company start to study other ERP products?

Could you kindly list some benifits points for a company if they study other non-famous ERP products???

for example: build company self service range and skills/ more orders from those kind of clients...etc

If any company using other than sap, then we need to analyse their ERP product initially for to get some drawbacks.we can say how sap is advantageous compared to thier product.

Initally the companies who planned to go for ERP product ,they analyze all the ERP vendors.If any consultancy who have good knowledge on related ERP products ,they have a better advantage on others.they can refer one suggested erp product based on the company needs.

some erp vendors are SAP,Oracle,baan,jd edwards,people soft

Hi Hoo,

sap is highly impact for large scale indursties and also cost wise its more compared to small scale, i.e for starting the use of sap products its minimum of 5crors. and at the same time sap gives indivdual modulle wise results and intigration of modules also effected, for example say.. if you want reports based on finance data thn it will give that data only ( charts ,graghs , also day wise month wise fiscal year wise data) and fastly , effectively and same with other hr, sd, mm, bw modules.

coming to your small -industry using other ERP products, we take for example ,, people soft, or any other data ware housing products,, which are same as sap only but with minor difference.

1. cost wise we can go for other than sap products. ( for starting of any business capital is main thing).

2. for small-scale industies the integration of data is main. for example if you want to see data of sales and distridution ...its linked with payroll or other finance data. so we can view weekly or monthly analysation is only possible.

3. sap is now-a-days only getting populating , before this people used other erp products only and also still using those... consultaning companies only convensing thm to change to sap.

4. its highly advisable to go with other ERP products only for small scale industries.
