Hey guys,

Here we have a scenario where the requirement is as follows:-

this is a IDOC to file scenario where client wants to control the appending of the messages in SAP PI. The requirement is:-

1. We have to append 10 messages in a file and after this 10th message the 11th message should be appended in a new file on the server.

OR

2. Append all messages of one day in a file and generate a new file for all the messages for next day.

Please suggest which will be the easier approach and how to implement the same.

Hi Dhairya!

If you want to append data to target file upon daily basis, the easiest way to do that is to build target file name using current date. Thus, when the date is changed, new file is created and the data is appended to that file till the next date change.

Hi,

I agree with Evgeniy. That's easiest option here.

One other possibility, as its Idoc to file, you can go for Idoc bundling and then trigger single output payload for 10 Idocs.

That should also work.
