Fields with variable length (STRG, SSTR, RSTR) must not be key fields

Hi,

I am facing issue while activating the data source.

Error : Field NODENAME : Fields with variable length (STRG, SSTR, RSTR) must not be key fields. Please help me to fix the issue. Thanks!!!

Hi Srinivasa,

STRING fields can not be flagged as key fields because this results in an error during the generation of the Persistent Staging Area (PSA) (an index is not allowed to contain an STRG, SSTR, or RSTR field).

You have to either unmark those fields as Key Fields or change it's type.

Hi Srinivasa,

Check NODENAME on Fields tab of DataSource

BW does not support string format key field, the key fields are restricted in such a way that the requirements of all supported database platforms are met. See more here:
