Full Variable Descriptions on Variable Screen

Users run reports in BEx Analyzer and on web (through Query designer and not WAD). In both cases, the variable description is not showing in full causing the confusion for the users. I have searched this forum but couldn't find any relevant/answered discussions. Could someone help me with this? Thanks!

There is a limit of 30 char length on variables I heard.

It might be a good idea to also look at the technical name if you have duplicate issues.

Raj, not even 30 characters show up on the selection screen. The issue is that the users want to see the full variable description so that they know what values to enter. One way out is to shorthand words (e.g., Category to ctgry), but users want the full descriptions. Anyone?
