Automatic flow of cost element in service line item.

Hi,all,

Is there any other settings available apart from "assigning cost element in default external procurement for service"to populate that cost element by default in service line item when I am generating PR for service from maintenance order by changing control key from PM01 to PM03.Please suggest .thanks in advance.

hi

the default value can be maintained in IMG and Easy access screen.

in IMG you create the profile then assign to the order,in Easy access screen you can maintain the default values for the orders

Thanx for your reply.

But here i have removed assignment to order type in IMG and also there are no default values maintained. Even then the cost element is flowing. Can u help me out in this?

check once again whether you have removed the external material and service profile for your order type ,also check in the notification creation screen also ,there also default values is there kindly check

I have again checked in IMG, the profiles have been removed for Order Types.

Also there are no defaullt values maintained for Orders as well as Notifications.

Even then the cost element field is getting populated automatically as soon as I enter short text for service, qty, UOM & price.

Hi Rajib,

if you are using operation line text items then u need to provide material group in the line item. If you fix one materail group for such services then for this material group u can ssign by default setting for GL codes.
