SAP BPC 10.0 Master Data Deletion

Hi all,

We have nearly 130.000 master datas in one of our dimensions and we need to delete 90.000 of them. Is there a way to delete those datas massively? Selecting all 90.000 of them and trying to delete is locking our system.

We are looking for a solution like deleting them via abap or a program.

Any help is appreciated.

You have a list of members to be deleted:

1. Ensure that you don't have transactional data for this list (even zeros!)

2. Create a new property in dimension.

3. Import list of members to be deleted with the new property set to "Y"

4. In the web interface filter by this property and delete members (may be using subsets).

Actually i have a property called Component_Type, but deleting them after filtering is locking our system (non of them have transactional data). For example; i have selected 60.000 of master datas and pressed delete button, waiting for 45 minutes so far and nothing changed in web interface, still trying to delete.

Try to delete 100 records, then 1000 records.

At first we tried that too, but after figuring out that deleting like that takes 4 hours(more or less), we are looking for another way.
